An Intro

Traveling has always  dominated my wish list. As a student I was used to traveling extensively. Not to any exotic countries or places. Being outdoor, sometimes in the midst of a crowd, sometimes in the quiet of a forest or resort, a silly ride on a country ranch or a boat... going back home was never as exciting as getting out of home. My friends would laugh and call me crazy when I said I could smell the water, fish, sea or grass and definitely my olfactories proved to be right.
For sometime, neck deep into the mundane domestic chores, with a growing daughter and a job which offerred limited time traveling was not high on the agenda. A year back, my daughter, Shruthi expressed her wish to travel with me. She was otherwise used to traveling with her grand parents.
I had by then moved out of a full time job into a part time one. With this flexibility, we decided to travel to the US, to meet my bro and his wife, spend time with my nephew, meet friends  and most importantly, travel extensively.
And, we did it. We had some tense moments till the Visa came along and then the next few months were blissful with no commitments to be met and no boring routine. More later.
